Talk To The Animals Goes
Global

WTFN's Melbourne-made lifestyle
television program, Talk To The Animals is going global, with the contract
signed for international sales to Animal Planet, Canada.
WTFN Managing Director, Daryl Talbot, said it is an exciting time for the program,
which has garnered a loyal following in its 2006 season, broadcast nationally
on Channel 9.
"Talk To The Animals' sale to Canada is a reflection of its home-grown
success," Mr Talbot said.
"The original program in the 1990s was such a hit. Our challenge was to match
that. Creator Brian Finch set the benchmark, and we have reinvented the program
while staying faithful to the original formula."
"The fact that international programming has seen fit to pick up the show
is evidence of the great job the WTFN team is doing," Mr Talbot said.
WTFN obtained licence rights to the program from Brian Finch, who remains creative
consultant on the program. The program combines emotion and strong storytelling
to reveal the wonderful bonds between humans and animals.
Host Nicky Buckley and reporters Dr Chris Brown, Sallianne Deckert and Des Dowling
showcase a range of quirky, cuddly and inspiring stories, from swimming with dolphins
to dogs on a diet; along with a viewer Pet-Of-The-Week photo award, fast facts,
competitions and more.
