Budget Presents: Three things to lift her spirits:

1. Flowers always go a long way; though if they're hand picked; watch out neighbours!

2. If you are lucky enough to be invited to her home for dinner or a DVD; always bring the wine or dessert

3. Make her laugh! The French say; "make her laugh and you have one foot in the bed!"

Mid-range Presents: Three things that will have her giving you a lift home.

1. Offer to pay for the bill, no going "Dutch"! Insist!

2. Surprise her with something like tickets to Gold Class movies or bowling to plan your next date! (always presume there will be one!)

3. Bring her something to wear that night! It could be a necklace or a scarf if it's cooler.

Sky's the limit: Three things that will have her lifting her skirt!

1. Now if you're in the league of the recently split K-Fed and have money to blow; anything in a small box would do...perhaps a small blue box!?

2. Considering this is way past the first date stage; perhaps go with some lingerie...be mindful of whether she likes full briefs or not; pretty or sexy. And never get the size wrong! A little detective work saves a lot of embarrassment.

3. Perfume's a great one! Present it on the drive home as you say goodbye at the front door. Offer to spray it on her neck and then smell it on her skin. This should not only lift her skirt but may get you invited in for "coffee"!

Now a guide for the girls, who have a much easier job. In most cases, all they have to do is turn up and be interested in him, and it’s a sure thing. But if girls are keen to impress, they can take Pete's advice.

3 Fashion shirt - shows your taste as well as impressing with your style

1 ipod - may be the latest craze, but is useful and something that not all guys buy for themselves

2. Rent an exotic car - every guy wants to feel like James Bond once in their life

3. Weekend away - for so many reasons....
