The
folk from Ford Australia reckon the Territory Ghia Turbo eats sports cars for
breakfast, so the new TV series for the Nine Network, Test Drive, is
putting that claim to the test.
Through
a series of challenges, with the contender from Ford in the blue corner, and
in the red corner, your average garden variety of sports car. Just in case the
winner isn't clear, Ford V8 Supercar driver, Craig Lowndes chimes in with the
fact that he drives a Territory Ghia when not on the track.
The first episode of Test Drive also features a Harley Davidson Sportster
Low which has Alle Brunning, with the Harley mystique, riding across the Sydney
Harbour Bridge.
Test Drive also features members of 'Amazon Heart', a group of women who
will demonstrate their unique reasons for getting together on their Harleys.
This edition also spotlights the Holden Commodore SSV, with Peter Hackett demonstrating
how one billion dollars in development has produced an Australian icon and a world
leader in safety, technology, performance and handling.
It's not just motor cars which feature in this new series. The first episode even
takes a 'test run' in Adidas 1.1 Runners, as Klara Lisy checks out how mini computers
inside the heel adjust these shoe for comfort.
For those viewers seeking latest trends and developments from the automotive world,
Hot-Wire is another key feature of Test Drive.
