Geoffrey
Cox of Coxy's Big Break, is now becoming a household word in Hungary, Czechoslovakia,
Israel and South Korea.
Melbourne production house WTFN Entertainment is experiencing international sales
for not only its travel series but also with each of its other productions.
Managing director of WTFN Entertainment, Daryl Talbot, says there is a voracious
appetite, world wide, for quality product as demonstrated by the ready acceptance
of Australian produced programs such as Coxy's Big Break, Talk to the
Animals and the adult series Shopping for Love.
He said 'WTFN has identified the market and the potential of its programs, particularly
in the lifestyle and light entertainment genre.'
'With 160 episodes of Coxy's Big Break in the can, we have repackaged those
into a series of 40 for the international market.'
Mr Talbot says his company has recognised the huge potential overseas, particularly
with the explosion of cable and digital channels, all hungry for new content.'
Early sales of the company's national series, Talk to the Animals, have
been recorded internationally, with pick-up in Canada, Thailand and also South
Korea. The adult series, Shopping for Love, is also enjoying similar success
with overseas sales.
Mr Talbot, delighted with the response from overseas networks, says buyers have
been generous with praise for the WTFN Entertainment product, particularly emphasising
the quality and style of production - graphics, music, scripts and presenters.
