Coxy - Big in 2008

Victorians are being encouraged to get out and see their state with TV personality Geoff 'Coxy' Cox as he leads the way with his continuing coverage of top holiday and short break spots in Victoria.

Tourism operators place great emphasis on the value the TV series has in 'moving Victorians' around their state.

A leading Victorian tourism identity, Tim Page-Walker of Portarlington Seaside Resort, says 'Coxy has that certain something which generates active participation by his viewers'.

Mr Page-Walker said 'Coxy has returned excellent exposure for Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula by way of topical editorial content in his programs. With Coxy's Big Break the results are absolutely measurable'.

Late last year, the TV host celebrated 150 episodes of his popular travel program and come Sunday February 10th the jovial giant reignites the travel bug as he launches the 2008 series of Coxy's Big Break.

Each of Victoria's tourism regions will again feature in the new series, along with several special episodes including a personalised Coxy tour of Shanghai.

Returning for the 2008 season with Coxy are his team of popular presenters including international model Kelly Landry, bubbly Melissa Hetherington and stand up comedian Des Dowling.

Victorian festivals, visits into national parks along with popular hot spots plus some surprising discoveries, will again tempt viewers to go and discover more of the secrets of this great state. Coxy's Big Break screens on SEVEN Sundays at 5.30pm.
