When
Bunnings and the Seven Network wanted to help Australians save water, they turned
to WTFN to create a program that would entertain, inform and galvanise the population
into action.
In
record time the team at WTFN produced a 'watershed' half-hour special, which was
broadcast nationally on December 16, 2006. With Australia in the grip of drought,
The Great Water Challenge came along at the right time.
Host Sarah Groen, gardener (and AFL great) Tony Shaw and plumber Timbo showed
an average Australian family how to save water and money in the home and garden.
Celebrity plumber Kenny was also on hand with some humorous observations, turning
a 'dry' subject into a topic of fun.
The Great Water Challenge provided inspiration for viewers to save water
in a variety of ways, so they could make every drop count.
